"Thankyou Fiona & Chris for a welcoming stay and great little cottage. We really enjoyed Skye on our first visit and will be returning in the near future to do more walking in the Cuillins. The highlight of our holiday was our base in Elgol. The village was great and so picturesque. The locals in the village made us feel very welcome and were very friendly. All in all a great holiday in a great place"
(Matthew Brown, Michelle Kingshott & Baby Megan- South Wales)

"FANTASTIC! We have had such a wonderful time on Skye. The scenery is absolutely stunning. The welcome that everyone has given us has been wonderful- especially from Fiona & Chris. Thanks Fiona for helping the 'Gout Man' out , he really appreciated it. We will return to explore more. Thank you. Forgot to say- Great Cottage!"
(Sally & Ross- Brecon, Wales)

"Thank you for a warm welcome to your lovely cottage. We enjoyed our stay very much and couldn't have asked for more than what was provided. Hope to cisit again sometime."
(Victoria & Angus, Darlington)

"Scotland proved to be everything we'd imagined and Skye all the more so. The boat trips to Loch Coruisk and the small isles were great. So was our visit to the Talisker distillery. A highly pleasant stay indeed!"
(Eva, Ilse, Angelina, Martinez & Greg)

"You made us feel at home from the start of a wonderful week. Breakfast outside in the sun with only the sound of the birds (&lambs). The surprise arrival of the live fish &crabs was a bonus! Lovely people on a lovely period. Thank you Fiona & Chris for all your help & advice...And the views from the top of Bla Bheinn are well worth the climb!"
(Elizabeth & Jack White- France)

"Fantastic weather all week- it's obviously a myth about fickle Skye weather. Multi day transverse of the Cuillin Ridge. Had nevr in my wildest dreams anticipated the major hazards of being sunstroke & dehydration. Excellent location of cottage & such a lot of thought has obviously gone into everything from major features to the minor ornaments"
(Adrian & Elaine - N.Wales & Devon)

"Thankyou for the warm welcome to your very cosy cottage. We have had fantastic weather & seen some stunning scenery. Just wish we could have stayed longer. We shall definately be back- wishing you both every success in the season ahead. I'm sure many others willenjoy your lovely cottage - generous hospitality"
(Stewart & Carol - Carnoustie)

"A very warm welcome to a lovely cottage in yet another stunning part of Scotland. It's difficult to find a more stunning part of this country!Fantastic weather. Did the boat trip to the loch and to the small isles which was great. Skye's much bigger than anticipated!!! Only managed bits of it. Unfortunately we ran out of time as me and the kids (3 & 7)were going to walk the Cuillin Ridge!Would benefit from a washing line but I don't expect the weathers usually this good! Otherwise very comfortable stay
(Al, Jack, Sioned & Lachlan - Cornwall)
* Sioned (aged 7 added) " I love it here. I want to live hear. How much muny wood it be? Lots of love Sioned xxx"* - (We were both very 'touched' by Sioneds comments - so thank you Sioned)

"Fiona & Chris were extremely accomodation - they couldn't have been better. Go on the boat trip to Loch Coruisk & visit Dunvegan Castle. The cottage was lovely- a bed from home"
(Duff party: Edinburgh)

"Cottage was lovely and Fiona & Chris are very helpful. We loved Skye (even though it did rain sometimes). The trip to Loch Coruisk is a must for everyone, also recommend a trip up north to Neist Point"
(Irene & Graham: Edinburgh)

"Thank you for a wonderful stay in Skye. The cottage was perfect especially in cold rainy nights when we could light the coal fire! We enjoyed the coastal walks around Elgol and the boat trips to see the seals. We hope to come back soon."
(Nick, Bridget & Beatrice Stanley: Cumbria)

(Martin, Kath, Simon, Matus, Stefan & Mary: Slovakia, Bratislava & Edinburgh)

"The cottage is absolutely wonderful. Fiona & Chris have clearly put a lot of thought, time and effort into this. Provision and decor -first class. Elgol is beautiful as is Skye. My advice to others who visit would be get off the main roads and find the 'real Skye'. Many thanks for being so helpful and approachable. Have had an absolute wonderful time in 'Cnoc na Loch'. Just like home from home! Thanks to Chris & Fiona for allowing to have a taste of Skye life. We'll definately be back (8th time in Skye) Cant wait! Many thanks Chris & Fiona.
(Andy & Catherine Gray & Tara: Holytown, Motherwell)

"The cottage -great! Every detail covered, even with the sweeties for the children! The highchair,cot,etc...thankyou. Our days have been dictated by our 'house search/holiday with 3 children.
* Portree swimming pool-little pool and big pool, family session, good fun, bright pool-great facilities.
*Aros Centre-Portree: Funzone-play area with slides, balls etc...great for 5yr old & 3 yr old & Cafe great for kids meals , really easy!
*Beach at Staffin-Lovely, worth the journey up past Portree and a visit to the 'Columba 1400 cafe'- tea & great cakes(baby changing,etc.. there. Great for kids, sandy beach, great views
*Armadale castle - Adventure park for children, cafe good. Great views of bay. Beach great and you can see the ferry coming in. Verty arty and RAGAMUFFIN shop worth a visit.
*Best icecreams at Broadford, girls liked these ones the best (at the tourist info place) - very helpful and lovely people there.
*Pony trekking approx 8 miles from Portree- helpful & friendly (£10 1/2 hr session for 4yrs+).
Our holiday wasfamily orientated so somewhat dictated by icecreams, toilets & beaches.- But well worth the effort.
p.s - Elgol - great playpark by the pierfor letting off some steam!"

(Paton family - Perthshire, July 08)

"Many thanks for your hospitality. The cottage has been a lovely base from which to explore new places and visit old haunts. Although quite a long journey we recommend the Applecross peninsula- with spectacular views and a walk down to Elgol harbour in the evening. The Cuillins from Ord & surrounding area are fantastic."
(Ingram party - July 08)

"Very good holiday in your cottage-very comfortable. The cottage is very well situated for walking, fishing and it is not too far from the pier. Thankyou for your welcome... and without reserve we weill give your address to our friends who will want to come to Scotland"
(Yolande & party - Brittany, France- August 08)

"Thank you for allowing us to stay in such a wonderful house. It is so atmospheric. We will certainly look to return if possible. Glynn and Lydia did the walk from Elgol to Loch Coruisk via the 'Bad Step', which is a challenging walk with some dangers! This has been the best holiday home we have had for some years. Our final day we took the high speed boat trip to Canna-fantastic"
(Ackerley party - Kent, August 08)

"A very warm welcome with the candles and fire blazing. Fiona and Chris were very helpful and made many phonecalls on our behalf. We had a wonderful dinner at the seafood restaurant up the road, and it was nice to have a cosy home to return to after time out in the wind and snow. A very nice visit."
(Matt and Adrienne Rasmussen, Peter Brock, Jon and Julie Rusnak - Cambridge)
